FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) – A brand new 34 foot center console with triple Yamaha 300’s that was equipped with a GOST™ NT-Evolution 2.0 wireless security and monitoring system was saved from sinking at the dock in the Bahamas recently when the GOST system’s high water sensor alerted the owner to high water in the bilge.
The GOST NT-Evolution 2.0 SM system installed on the new center console included the GOST Wireless Water Resistant High Water Sensor, which instantly alerted the owner who was on the island when live bait aboard for an early morning fishing trip clogged his live well. Water quickly began filling the bilge and the boat soon became overwhelmed with seawater.

“Our NT-Evolution 2.0 SM system aboard this brand new boat detected the high water in the bilge immediately and the system automatically contacted the designated recipients via texts, emails and phone calls. The owner was able to respond to the situation right away and save his week-old boat, which otherwise would have sunk at the dock. Incidents like this are the reason many insurance companies offer premium discounts for boats equipped with GOST security, monitoring, tracking or surveillance systems,” said Parrish Westbrook, GOST National Sales Manager.
The NT-Evolution 2.0 Security and Monitoring package includes the GOST NT-Evolution 2.0 system and comes standard with wireless dual optical infrared beam sensors, a mini siren, a high intensity strobe, a high water sensor and a pull sensor to protect a boat from theft.
The GOST NT-Evolution 2.0 is a marine grade, water resistant, wireless security, monitoring and tracking system that provides global arm/disarm and relay control over satellite from anywhere in the world, with the reassurance of a battery back-up. An extensive range of up to 64 wireless sensors can protect and monitor a boat. Five wireless relays allow control of any AC or DC function on board and can be set to activate other devices such as external sirens, strobes, deck or cockpit lights when the system goes into alarm.
