GOST To Feature Nav-Tracker Fleet Management & GPS Tracking System & GOST Acoustic Deterrents at 2009 International Work Boat Show

FT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) - Boat security systems supplier GOST will feature Nav-Tracker, a fleet management & GPS tracking system and the GOST Acoustic Deterrent system at its booth (2804) at the 2009 International Work Boat Show (IWBS), December 2-4 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
Nav-Tracker can be used to track one boat or an entire fleet from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. A fleet can also be viewed on Google Earth and as new reports come in from Nav-Tracker, they are automatically updated.
When a Nav-Tracker transmitter is mounted on a vessel and armed, a wireless ‘geo-fence’ with a 500-meter radius is created. If a boat is moved outside of this fence, Nav-Tracker uses Inmarsat based GPS satellite technology to monitor a boat’s location and notify up to ten people by email and/or text message every 2 minutes with the latitude/longitude, speed and heading of the vessel.
The GOST Acoustic Barrier will also be featuring Acoustic Deterrents at IWBS. GOST offers state-of-the-art acoustic technology to support the maritime industry’s compliance with the US Coast Guard’s Maritime Security Directive 104-6, which requires U.S. flagged vessels that operate in high risk waters to have security protocols in place to deter, detect and disrupt piracy.

GOST Acoustic Barrier generates a patented, unbearable frequency pattern that immediately disrupts the activities of onboard intruders - such as terrorists, pirates or robbers - and buys time for crews to reach safe havens. Each unit has built-in sabotage protection with a long-life battery. A durable aluminum and steel casing is specially powder coated for protection against the harsh marine environment. A single unit covers areas up to 750 square feet. Larger areas can be covered with several units.
GOST Acoustic Barrier is available as a standalone deterrent or integrated into GOST’s comprehensive vessel security, monitoring, tracking & surveillance systems. These tracking and sensing systems allow real time reporting and detection of intruders and can also monitor both accurate position and conditions thru the Inmarsat systems with the GOST Nav-Tracker and Marine Magellan systems.
